Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Screenwriter Jokes About Potentially Writing a MCU X-Men Story
Ever since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, MCU fans have waited for news about the next generation of X-Men movies that will be part of the popular universe.
Before the rise of the Avengers and its many characters, Marvel ruled the box-office with movies revolving around its celebrated comic book team, which featured characters like Professor X, Magneto, Wolverine, Storm and many more.
With the recent addition of characters like Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier possibly making an appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seemed like a potential X-Men project was on the cards, and American screenwriter Michael Waldron even made fans believe it as well.

Recently, Waldron gave fans the shock of a lifetime during an Instagram comments conversation with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who recently wrote Thor: Love and Thunder with director Taika Waititi.
Waldron had commented on a recent post from Robinson, upon which the latter replied by jokingly wishing him luck for his work on a future MCU X-Men project. Fans replied to the post with a lot of shocked faces, however, it was later revealed that the Love and Thunder writer had poked fun at Waldron by referencing a 2022 April Fool’s Joke, which stated that the Loki writer was in line to write the script for the movie, which would be directed by Man of Steel director Zack Snyder.
Even though Robinson and Waldron played a joke on everyone, it’s very likely that the two might be in contention to work on a MCU X-Men project, as they have been part of the universe’s most successful projects, which include TV shows like Hawkeye and Loki, and it will be interesting to see if it will come to fruition anytime soon.
