The Dragon Ball Super Card Game unveils new gold-stamped Super Rare cards from the Critical Blow series, featuring fresh characters from the Super Hero film.
Bandai reveals the title of the upcoming Dragon Ball Super Card Game expansion as Zenkai Series – Critical Blow. This expansion, the fifth in the Zenkai Series and the 22nd main series set of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game, introduces a new God Rare card, making it the fourth God Rare in the hobby. Previous God Rare cards include Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta from Realm of the Gods, Bardock from Rise of the Z-Legends, and Son Goku from Wild Resurgence. The expansion explores various themes, including the Z-era Broly movies (such as Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly – Second Coming, and Bio-Broly) and DBS: Super Hero. Today, we’ll take a closer look at some of the gold-stamped Super Rares from the red-colored section of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game: Zenkai Series – Critical Blow.
We have two new Super Rares to reveal from the Critical Blow set. First, we have Gamma 1 & Gamma 2, Heroes’ Mission. Despite initially being antagonists for Gohan and Piccolo as they fight on the side of the Red Ribbon Army, these android beings are designed with heroic qualities. They possess nobility and fight for what they believe is good, even if they are initially misguided. They eventually switch sides and align with the heroes when the true villain of the film is revealed: the incomplete and monstrous Cell Max. Another gold foil Super Rare card showcases Cell Max, Return of Despair. Super Rares are relatively easy to find compared to Special Rares.
