The Dragons have declined captain Ben Hunt’s request for immediate release following his surprising decision over the weekend, which has shocked the rugby league community.
In a statement on Sunday, the club confirmed that they received a request from Hunt’s management for a release from his playing contract.
“Unfortunately, we have denied this request,” the club stated.
