Dan Douglas, the brilliant mind behind the satirical masterpiece known as “Duke Smoochem 3D”, has taken his creativity to new heights by incorporating former politician George Osborne’s wedding into the game.
“Duke Smoochem 3D” utilizes the level editor of the iconic shooter game “Duke Nukem 3D” to recreate exaggerated versions of political events in the United Kingdom.
Given the media frenzy surrounding Osborne’s wedding, which involved a scandalous email and a protestor, Douglas decided to meticulously model The Church of St Mary in Bruton, Somerset, and the wedding couple within the game.

In the showcased video shared on Twitter, George Osborne and his wife Thea are showered with orange confetti by the game’s protagonist, Duke Nukem, which symbolizes the protestor who was initially mistaken to be a member of the organization “Just Stop Oil.” As sirens blare, a message reading “Uh oh! Ian Dunt is gonna be pissed!” ominously appears at the top of the screen. Suddenly, police vans crash through the walls of the virtual church, knocking over a headstone, while Pig Cops relentlessly fire at the player.
Furthermore, “Duke Smoochem 3D” has expanded to include other unforgettable moments, such as King Charles’s coronation, the UK’s emergency alert test, the infamous Scarborough walrus named Thor, the exhilarating “This Morning” Spin to Win competition, the legendary Binley Mega Chippy, and much more.
According to a fascinating interview with the developer in NME, Douglas describes his creation as an “interactive shitpost.” He also shares that one of the most rewarding aspects of the project is people discovering peculiar and noteworthy events through the game, whether they’re current or historical.
Douglas envisions a future update for “Duke Smoochem 3D” that includes a commentary mode, free from enemies, which allows players to leisurely roam and explore the origins of all the clever references he has masterfully woven into the game’s fabric. Essentially, he hopes to create a meme museum of sorts.
In the realm of gaming news, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has delighted fans by announcing that the next update for the immensely popular social life simulator “Stardew Valley” will introduce enticing “secrets” and an entirely new festival.
