Developer Larian Studios has provided precise timings for the global release of Baldur’s Gate 3. After its initial release in early access in 2020, the highly anticipated RPG will officially launch on PC on August 3. Larian Studios also emphasized that early access players will not be able to transfer their saves to the full release of Baldur’s Gate 3. In a tweet, the developer stated, “So much has changed, it’s worth starting fresh!”

August 3 and August 4 are the official release dates for Baldur’s Gate 3. There are no early unlocks or special editions for the PC version. As for other versions, Baldur’s Gate 3 was delayed on PS5 and will now be released on September 6 instead of late August. Coincidentally, this is also when Starfield launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC. However, there is no confirmed release window for the RPG on Xbox Series X|S due to development issues with the Xbox Series S. Larian has stated that the split-screen feature in Baldur’s Gate 3 is crucial to the game, and it is this feature that is causing problems on Xbox Series S.
