One of the most intriguing and successful films this year has been the thrilling Haseen Dillruba starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane. The film is the spine-chilling story of a woman caught up in the investigation of her husband’s murder.
While praises have been coming from all over for the actors and their impeccable portrayal of the dark and delicious characters, some people have pointed out that the film glorifies toxic relationships and violence. Spilling the beans on what he feels about these comments, Vikrant spoke to Filmfare elaborately and said that he has to agree to disagree with that section of the society. He went on to elaborate that the film is not a PSA but pulp fiction that narrates a story and is not conveying a moral message.
Vikrant further added that it was appalling to see educated people point out this issue with the film and completely ignore that it’s just a film and the makers and cast are not propagating anything from the story.
Listen to the actor talk about how he received these comments in the video.
