Ignite’s Speedy New Legend Conduit, Cross Progression, and More Detailed

Apex Legends Season 19, entitled “Ignite,” launches next week, and EA and developer Respawn/Respawn Vancouver have detailed what the content update will include. The headliner is the peppy new Support Legend Conduit, aka Rowenna Valentina Coffey. Conduit will be able to quickly zip between allies, providing them with shields. You can check out a story trailer for Conduit, below.

Seems like a fun character, if a bit lightweight. Here’s a rundown of Conduit’s powers:

Conduit

Class: Support

  • Craft unrecovered or expired ally banner cards at Replicators
  • Access the hidden loot in blue Extended Supply bins for Healing and Survival items

Tactical Ability: Radiant Transfer

  • Send a surge of energy to a teammate, generating temporary shields for them and Conduit when in danger.

Passive Ability: Saviors Speed

  • Gain a burst of speed when running toward a teammate out of Tactical range.

Ultimate Ability: Energy Barricade

  • Deploy an array of shield-jamming devices that damage and slow enemies.

You can check out a gameplay trailer of Conduit in action, below.

In addition to the new character, Apex Legends: Ignite offers cross-progression for all “collected cosmetics, badges, and achievements,” the usual new battle pass, and a revamp for the Storm Point map.

“The newly energized Storm Point has been overhauled, reducing its size and amping up the intensity to get players into more fights, faster. Players can now light up the killfeed in Wattson’s Town Takeover, Pylon and spark fights at ZEUS Station, or visit storm-wrecked locales like Devastated Coast. They can now hit Echo HQ and Coastal Camp to send other squads back to the lobby with a severe case of tropical depression. Legends will drop into the most electrifying version of Storm Point yet, where every corner could hide poisonous spiders, prowlers, or a rival Legend eager to turn them into a fresh Death Box.”

Apex Legends can be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Switch. The Ignite season kicks off on October 31. What do you think? Has Respawn cooked up a solid-seeming season?
