Samsung has been at the forefront of foldable smartphone technology for almost four years now, and it remains the only company to have introduced its foldable devices to the Canadian market. Motorola tried with its original Razr, but didn’t achieve much success.
Now, we find ourselves in the midst of the summer of foldables.
Google recently announced its Pixel Fold, set to launch in late June, and Motorola will also release its Razr+ around the same time. I’ve had the opportunity to experience both of these devices firsthand, and I must say, they have left me impressed.
However, it is important to note that the Pixel Fold won’t initially be available in Canada. We will provide more information about Google’s foldable phone in the upcoming weeks.
In addition to the Pixel Fold and Razr+, we can expect Samsung to unveil its Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in late July or early August. There are also rumors about the possible release of the OnePlus Fold in Canada, but we’re not entirely certain yet. That’s a total of five foldable phones within just a few months.
With all of this in mind, I pose the question: Are we truly prepared for this influx of foldable phones? Personally, I am ready. I believe that folding phones represent one of the most exciting innovations in the smartphone industry in recent years.
I’m enthusiastic about this new era of foldable smartphones, but I’m curious to know your thoughts. Share your opinions in the comments below.
