Modern Warfare 3′ trailer teases return of “No Russian” mission

The most recent trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 unveils the return of Makarov, the villain from the original game in 2011, as well as the infamous “No Russian” mission.

In the new Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer, we catch a glimpse of civilians desperately fleeing past a stairwell, hinting at the inclusion of the “No Russian” mission. Fans can expect more exciting announcements from Activision in the future, and there will even be a limited-time event in Warzone to showcase more about the upcoming game.

This trailer combines live-action sequences with cutscenes from the game, providing a tantalizing taste of the Modern Warfare 3 atmosphere. Check it out below:

Fans are understandably excited about the return of Makarov. This ruthless tactician was first introduced in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, although the characters were initially unaware of his involvement. Only in the original Modern Warfare 3 does Captain Price seize the opportunity to put an end to the villain, despite suffering significant losses.

So far, players have yet to see any glimpses of the game’s features or mechanics, which will determine the essence of Modern Warfare 3 as a “premium release.” However, the mission “No Russian” does make a brief appearance in the trailer.

The original Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 included an incredibly controversial mission that required players to participate in a terrorist attack as part of a false flag operation. However, the sequel released in 2022 did not revisit this mission directly, but hinted at its return in a post-credits scene.

In other gaming news, Take-Two Interactive has expressed a strong level of selectivity when it comes to adapting properties for the silver screen, indicating that a film adaptation of Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption is unlikely.
