Blizzard has released an update for Diablo 4 patch 1.1.0 hotfix 3, addressing various issues and improving gameplay.
During the recent developer’s campfire chat for Diablo 4, the team acknowledged that nightmare dungeons were too difficult, particularly in higher levels beyond Tier 50. They promised a hotfix to address this issue, and it is now live. Alongside the nerf to nightmare dungeon difficulty, the update also includes bug fixes. For more detailed information, you can refer to the official release notes on Blizzard’s official forums.
“We have reduced the power levels of monsters in nightmare dungeons,” the team states. “Tier 100 will now feel similar to what tier 70 was before.”
In a developer note, it is clarified that the reduction in difficulty does not mean higher tiers are easier than lower tiers. “Although the values may suggest that higher tiers are easier, this is not the case because monsters in higher nightmare dungeon tiers are significantly higher level than players,” the note explains.
The bug fixes included in this update address issues in certain dungeons and with Malignant Hearts. The hotfix also brings additional stability improvements.
As mentioned previously, Blizzard is already working on patch 1.1.1, which will enhance the abilities of Barbarians and Sorcerors. The patch will also provide a free stash tab for each character and reduce respec costs. This update is expected to be released in the next few weeks. We will keep you updated on any new information regarding patch 1.1.1 and future patches.
Diablo 4 is currently available worldwide for PC and consoles. In our launch review, we praised the game for its engaging hack and slash combat, improved skill system, and compelling story. However, we noted that the open world lacks dynamic elements, side content lacks narrative depth, and the endgame replayability may be limited due to a lack of randomization and certain features.
