Following confirmation that the State of Origin will return to Perth, there is now speculation that New Zealand could be a potential host.
In 2025 and 2028, Optus Stadium in Perth will host games after the NRL’s double-header in the city on Saturday.
According to 9news reporter Michael Chammas, the NRL will be speaking with powerbrokers in the coming days to explore the possibility of bringing the Origin game to New Zealand’s Eden Park in 2027.
