It appears that Reliance Digital now has PS5 in stock. Multiple IGN India readers reached out confirming that the console is now available. You can try buying one right here. This is the disc version of the PS5 that has a price of Rs. 49,990.
Keep in mind that Reliance Digital’s track record is far from pristine. During the PS5 India launch readers informed us their pre-orders placed via Reliance Digital had been cancelled. IGN India was able to verify these claims and can confirm that the information is accurate. A day later the company claimed this was due to “overwhelming response”.
Earlier IGN India reported that the console would be available in India from April though the coronavirus pandemic may wreak havoc with actual availability. PS5 stock had landed in the country in April itself.

That said due to the ongoing lockdown restrictions its likely that delivery may not be possible across the country.
This follows the fan base rallying around the #RestockPS5India hashtag on Twitter, the community’s zero tolerance policy against scalpers, and assistance in the form of user-created bots to help would be buyers as well as a petition.
The Indian gaming community has been incredibly vocal about being treated with respect, on par with the company’s customers in developed markets.
This follows Amazon having the console up for sale. And while that was not a restock, sources tell us, it will be interesting to see if Reliance Digital’s is. The console was available from May 4 at 11:57am onwards.
As always we’ve reached out to Sony for comment and will update this story if we hear from the company.
