King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the International Congress of the Spanish Language at the Falla Theater in Cadiz, the south of Spain. For the occasion, the monarch chose a stunning midi dress from Spanish designer Cho Atelier.

Queen Letizia wore the new Iliana dress in lilac from Cho Atelier which currently retails for £137.

The designer’s website described it as a dress of “great beauty” designed to “make you shine”.

“Its straight-cut, midi-length skirt with a front opening gives prominence to the central knot. It has a soft volume on its long sleeves that slims the arms and a clean finish on the back, with an invisible zipper”, it said.

A customer named Maria Jose, who recently purchased the same dress, said in a review that it was “perfect, very good quality and it fits like a glove”. She added: “The dress is divine, very elegant and flattering.”

Queen Letizia combined the look with a matching handbag from Olivia Mareque and nude pumps from Carolina Herrera, one of her favourite designers.

The Spanish monarch styled her hair in subtle waves and sported a pair of multicolour earrings from designer Alexandra Plata.

Royal fans took to social media to praise Letizia’s summery style with @julissam_g saying: “This is a win for her and Spanish fashion.”

“Spring has definitely sprung, and Queen Letizia knows it. She couldn’t look more radiant,” commented @marchionessofconfessions.
