When asked about his views on lockdown rules and potentially making them stricter, Owen had the following to say: “This is operation blame the public, this is operation shift responsibility away from the Government from messing this up, overseeing one of the worst death tolls on earth, saying ‘it’s not our fault, it’s that pesky British public.'”

Owen argued the British public have “overwhelmingly” stuck to the rules and made huge sacrifices to do so.

He continued: “I’ll just give you an example of just how nonsense these suggestions are.
