Even celebrities like Rio Locsin, Sharon Cuneta, Jim Paredes, and Monique Wilson frequented Shell Magallanes to enjoy the unique shopping experience.
The success of Nena’s concept didn’t go unnoticed. Gasoline stations nationwide replicated her model, leading to the opening of Select and other convenience stores. Among them all, Shell Select in Magallanes holds a special place. It offers iconic items like Polly’s Chocolate Cake, a beloved treat for families over the decades. In addition, they stock gourmet products such as Cynthia’s Kitchen bottled aligue, Nanay Luisa’s queso de bola spread, Ternura ensaimada from Baguio, Granda’s sylvanas, Sonsi longganisa, La Reina pork chorizo, and even Balay Dako piaya.
Furthermore, Select Magallanes now offers a dining experience with kiosks like Turks, Potato Corner, and Gongcha. Thanks to Nena Magdalena Cruz’s vision, a simple gathering station has been transformed into a magnificent gathering place. Visitors can now enjoy Polly’s chocolate cake and coffee before or after visiting St. Alphonsus.
