The final season of Paramount+’s Star Trek: Discovery is set to take off in 2024, and fans are eagerly awaiting what’s in store. In a clip released during San Diego Comic-Con 2023 (SDCC 2023), Captain Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) is seen in pursuit of Moll (Eve Harlow) & L’ak (Elias Toufexis), holding onto their starship as it travels at warp speed.
The fifth and final season of Star Trek: Discovery will see Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery embarking on a thrilling adventure across the galaxy to uncover the secrets of an ancient power that has been hidden for centuries. However, they are not alone in their quest, as dangerous enemies are also in pursuit. Check out the exclusive clip and behind-the-scenes footage for a glimpse of what’s to come.
Reflecting on her time with Star Trek: Discovery, Sonequa Martin-Green expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to play Captain Michael Burnham and be part of the Star Trek legacy. She also thanked the cast, crew, and writing team for their contributions to the show’s success. The executive producers, Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise, also shared their appreciation for the fans and the impact the show has had in terms of representation.
Joining Martin-Green in the fifth season are Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), David Ajala (Cleveland “Book” Booker), Blu del Barrio (Adira), and Callum Keith Rennie (Rayner). Star Trek: Discovery is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment, with Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, and others serving as executive producers.
