Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens fumes about referees after loss to Canberra Raiders

Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens expressed his dissatisfaction with several referee decisions after his team’s 22-18 loss to the Raiders. Sheens intends to address his frustrations with the NRL regarding the Raiders’ tries that he believes resulted from forward passes. He specifically pointed out a pass by Canberra’s Zac Woolford in the lead-up to the first try. Despite his grievances, Sheens sarcastically applauded Raiders coach Ricky Stuart for coaching a team that did not concede a single set of six. Sheens plans to discuss his concerns with the referees, as he does every week. In the match, Wests Tigers scored a remarkable long-range try when David Nofoaluma intercepted the ball and passed it to Luke Brooks, who then found Charlie Staines for the try. The game also saw a collision between Elliott Whitehead and Daine Laurie, resulting in Laurie failing a head injury assessment. Despite making several attempts to potentially equalize the score, Wests Tigers could not secure a win. As a result, they have not won a game since round 12. The Raiders will face the Storm next Sunday, while Wests Tigers will take on the Warriors in Hamilton on Saturday.
