Nothing Phone 2’s Transparent Type C Cable Unveiled by Carl Pei
Nothing, the company founded by Carl Pei, has been teasing its highly anticipated Phone 2 smartphone for several months. Recently, Pei took to Twitter to showcase the new transparent charging cable that will be included with the phone.

The charging cable made its debut through a series of tweets by Pei, where he expressed his admiration for Nothing’s new USB-C cable. Following his initial tweet, Pei shared an image of the cable, as seen below:

Upon closer inspection, it is evident that the cable is essentially a standard white USB type C cable, but with a transparent casing. The metal connector features the “Nothing” logo etched onto it, along with a row of dots. The purpose of these dots, whether they indicate LED lights or simply serve as decorative grooves, remains unknown.

This transparent cable perfectly aligns with the design philosophy embraced by Pei for the Nothing product line. Transparency is a key element of Nothing’s aesthetic, evident even in the inclusion of a transparent SIM ejector tool with the Phone (1).

While not explicitly confirmed, it is highly likely that this cable will be included with the upcoming Nothing Phone (2). The Phone (1) was accompanied by a standard white USB-C cable, so it is reasonable to assume that a cable will be bundled with the Phone (2) as well. Presently, the cable is not listed on Nothing’s accessories page.
It would be ideal if the Nothing Phone (2) also came with a charging brick in the package. However, it has become a trend among smartphone manufacturers to reduce the number of included accessories. The Phone (2) is set to be officially launched on July 11th, so the wait to witness its true appearance and included contents is almost over.
