In the premiere episode “Resurrection,” Maria meets her demise after being shot by Gravik, the leader of a rebellious Skrull group that has separated from Talos’ faction. On the unexpected twist, Smulders humorously remarks, “I didn’t know I was an alien in ‘Spider-Man.'” (Referring to her Skrull revelation in her cameo appearance in 2019’s ‘Far From Home’). She acknowledges the existence of the multiverse and the infinite possibilities it brings. However, she believes this is the end for her character. Regarding rumors of her appearance in the upcoming film ‘The Marvels,’ Smulders denies having any knowledge about it.
