The Delhi Police has taken action in the rapper Honey Singh’s death threat case by issuing a production warrant against incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Punjab Police will bring Bishnoi to Delhi where he will appear in court.
The Delhi Police Special Cell will request custody of Lawrence Bishnoi, and if granted by the court, the gangster will be interrogated regarding the ongoing death threat case involving Honey Singh.
Last week, Punjabi and Bollywood singer Yo Yo Honey Singh received a death threat from gangster Goldy Brar. As a result, he filed a complaint with the Delhi Police. Notably, Goldy Brar is believed to be responsible for the murder of pop star Sidhu Moose Wala in Punjab last year.
Honey Singh received threatening voice notes and calls. Recently, he met with Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and provided them with the threatening audio. Due to the seriousness of the situation, the case has been handed over to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, and an FIR has been registered. In an interview with ANI, the singer stated, “While I was in America, my manager received threat calls in which death threats were directed towards me. I have filed a complaint with the police commissioner and he assured me that they will investigate. I believe the Special Cell will handle the investigation. I have provided them with all the information and evidence.”
“This is the first time in my life that I have received a threat, and I am scared. We received the threats from international phone numbers,” added the singer.
Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and is reportedly hiding in Canada. Last year, he claimed responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
