This standalone version of the popular Pokemon-like game, Temtem, focuses solely on the intense battles that players love. No need to purchase the original Temtem game, as Temtem: Showdown can be accessed separately.

Temtem: Showdown focuses purely on the thrilling combat aspects, removing the taming and leveling mechanics found in the base game. Described as a “free multiplayer battle simulator,” players can quickly assemble their team and engage in ranked matches with opponents from around the globe. The game’s 2v2 battle system, reminiscent of doubles matches in online Pokemon battles, offers action-packed gameplay and a familiar experience.
Competitive play takes center stage in Temtem: Showdown, featuring a climbable ranked ladder system and community-run tournaments. While I haven’t had the opportunity to play Temtem yet, it’s on my radar for when I get my hands on a PS5.
