The May 2023 lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus has been revealed. These three titles will be available to members of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium plans, starting on May 2. Members can now claim three exciting games: Grid Legends, Chivalry 2, and Descenders. Grid Legends is a high-stakes racing game developed by Codemasters, while Chivalry 2 offers a medieval hack-and-slash multiplayer experience. Descenders, on the other hand, is a downhill bike riding game with procedurally generated worlds. You have until June 5 to add these games to your PS4 and PS5 games library, but remember to maintain your PS Plus subscription for continued access.
Sony officially announced these additions on the PlayStation Blog, confirming that PS Plus members have until May 1 to claim April’s free games. April’s lineup includes Meet Your Maker, a building and raiding game, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, an interactive platformer, and Tails of Iron, an action RPG where you control a royal rat in intense combat.

Get ready for thrilling motorsport action with Grid Legends. Engage in multiplayer races across 130 tracks, ranging from professional to street circuits. Immerse yourself in the documentary-style story/career mode called ‘Driven to Glory,’ which features a fantastic cast including Ncuti Gatwa from Sex Education. Additionally, players can use the Race Creator mode to design courses for friends to enjoy on any platform with cross-play functionality. Grid Legends is playable on both PS4 and PS5.
PS Plus May 2023: Chivalry 2
Experience epic battles in the medieval world of Chivalry 2. Take part in war-torn battlefields and engage in sword clashes and raining arrows upon enemy troops. Choose from a variety of classes that suit your playstyle and join massive 64-player battles, besiege castles, defeat mounted enemies, and conquer peasants. Enjoy the extensive customization options, including bodily features, armor sets, helmet types, heraldry, and weapons. Chivalry 2 also offers a free-for-all Brawl mode where 40 players fight using unconventional weapons like chairs, bottles, and even turkey legs. The game is available on both PS4 and PS5.
PS Plus May 2023: Descenders
Embark on an exhilarating downhill biking adventure in Descenders by RageSquid. Ride your mountain bike across ramps and dirt trails while performing impressive tricks. Each level is procedurally generated, ensuring a unique experience every time. Master the physics-based gameplay and control your rider’s movements carefully. Collect reputation points online to unlock new bikes and outfits. Descenders is playable on the PS4.
In addition, PlayStation also announced new additions to its Game Catalogue for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier subscribers. Some notable games include Doom Eternal, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, and more.
In India, PlayStation Plus subscriptions start at Rs. 499 per month for Essential, Rs. 749 per month for the Extra plan, and Rs. 849 per month for the top-tier Deluxe. All three tiers include the monthly free games.
