Apple has unveiled its lineup of games coming to Apple Arcade in July, and it’s an impressive selection. Subscribers can look forward to a trio of beloved indie classics: [Game 1], [Game 2], and [Game 3].
Of particular interest is the revamped version of [Game 3], now titled “Ridiculous Fishing EX.” This 3D remaster of the original Apple Design Award-winning game offers a unique fishing experience in an open sea, where players can use unconventional tools like chainsaws and toasters to catch fish. It also introduces a competitive mode with regularly updated challenges and leaderboards, as well as a new game plus mode.
Apple emphasizes that the team behind the original Ridiculous Fishing has rebuilt this version from scratch, which is surprising considering the involvement of Vlambeer, the studio behind the original game. However, the developers were eager to bring the game back to life, and the co-founder of Vlambeer, Rami Ismail, expressed his excitement for the opportunity to revisit the game that kickstarted his career. KO_OP, the developer behind Goodbye Volcano High, also contributed to the project. Apple Arcade subscribers can dive into Ridiculous Fishing EX starting from July 14th.
Kicking off the month on July 7th is Slay The Spire, a captivating deck-building game that challenges players to strategically utilize collected cards to defeat enemies and bosses in turn-based combat as they ascend a towering spire. On the same day, the family-friendly game Lego Duplo World+ will also be available on Apple Arcade.
On July 21st, Apple Arcade subscribers will have access to one of the top games of the past decade: Stardew Valley. This version of the popular farming and life simulation game includes all the recent updates, such as town upgrades, dating events, fishing ponds, and pets. And just one week later, subscribers can explore Hello Kitty Island Adventure, a social simulation game featuring exciting co-op multiplayer modes.
Additionally, Apple has announced that several titles on the Apple Arcade service will receive updates in July, including [Game 4], [Game 5], [Game 6], and [Game 7].
