Possible Biggest MCU Spoiler of 2023: Leaked Post-Credits Scene for The Marvels

The speculation and leaks that surround the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are just as captivating as the films and TV shows themselves. Sometimes, the rumors and plot leaks can be even more intriguing than the actual content. However, it’s important to note that some of these leaks are simply fan fiction posted online for attention. With that being said, I must caution you that what I’m about to share could potentially spoil future MCU projects. Unlike previous articles where I revealed the project associated with the spoilers, I will keep it a mystery this time to avoid any unintentional spoilers.

This is your final warning. Proceed with caution as I delve into the subject of upcoming Avengers team members. Please note that the information shared below can be considered a major spoiler for MCU fans who prefer to be surprised.

A Leaked Credits Scene from an Upcoming MCU Movie

With the recent release of Marvel’s “Secret Invasion” on Disney Plus, one might assume that the leaked credits scene is from this new TV show. However, this is not the case, as there have been no credits scenes revealed for “Secret Invasion” thus far.

Instead, the leaked scene comes from an upcoming Phase 5 project that heavily features Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson). That project is “The Marvels,” set to premiere in November. Serving as Marvel’s final MCU movie of the year, “The Marvels” may also be their last release of 2023, unless Marvel surprises us with additional content on Disney Plus during Christmas.

“The Marvels” is not strictly an Avengers film, but rather a crossover that introduces at least three superheroes. Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson) is already an Avenger, while Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris) and Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani) are likely to join the Avengers in order to combat the threat of Kang.

According to YouTuber Grace Randolph, “The Marvels” will feature two credits scenes. She also expressed her hope that leakers would not spoil the second credits scene, hinting at its significance. Currently, the nature of this undisclosed credits scene remains a mystery.

The Arrival of the Young Avengers

Approximately a day later, a leaker by the name of CanWeGetSomeToast shared a description of one of the credits scenes from “The Marvels,” which sheds light on its connection to the Avengers.

If this leaked information holds true, “The Marvels” will serve as a setup for the “Young Avengers” storyline that has been circulating in various leaks.

In “The Marvels,” Nick Fury possesses a tablet to keep tabs on all the superheroes currently active. At the end of the film, Kamala obtains the tablet and seeks out Kate Bishop. To Kate’s surprise, Kamala appears at her home and shares the events of “The Marvels” while emphasizing the need for the young heroes to join forces. She asks Kate, “Did you know Scott Lang has a daughter?” thus paving the way for the emergence of the Young Avengers.

It comes as no surprise that Nick Fury would monitor individuals with extraordinary abilities who could potentially become members of the Avengers. This has been his practice throughout his life. In “Secret Invasion,” Fury humorously mentions that he formed the Avengers as a mid-life crisis, during a conversation with Talos (played by Ben Mendelsohn).

Given the events of “Secret Invasion,” it is reasonable to assume that Fury would have even more motivation to keep tabs on superheroes. After all, he wouldn’t want any of them to be Skrull impostors, especially those without genuine superpowers.

It is plausible that only Kamala would have access to the tablet, considering her young age and her immense admiration for the Avengers. In the first trailer for “The Marvels,” we witnessed her immediate recognition of Fury, mistaking the encounter for an Avengers job interview.

Since Kamala has been closely following the activities of all the Avengers, including Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd), she would be aware of Ant-Man’s daughter. As seen in “Quantumania,” Cassie (played by Kathryn Newton) shows potential as a successor for the Ant-Man mantle.

Given that these young heroes have grown up in a world with numerous superheroes and supervillains during the blip, it is natural to see them take matters into their own hands when necessary.

Considering that Marvel has been introducing several young heroes since Phase 4 began, it is likely that we will see an abundance of youthful characters on the team.

However, it is important to note that this leaked information may not be entirely accurate. Furthermore, there is a possibility that things may change between now and the release of “The Marvels” on November 10th.
