Dune: Part Two is set to release later this year and promises to surpass its predecessor in every way, according to actress Rebecca Ferguson.
In an interview with Collider, Ferguson expressed her enthusiasm for the sequel, describing it as “extremely impressive.” She spoke highly of the director Denis Villeneuve, cinematographer Greig Fraser, and the entire team involved in the project, stating that their work evoked strong emotions in her.
Ferguson went on to say that while the first film was already phenomenal, the second installment takes things to a whole new level. She described it as a “jaw-dropping experience” that leaves a lasting impact on the audience.
Although she has not seen the completed film, Ferguson has viewed footage and was thoroughly impressed by what she saw.
“It’s beyond words,” she said, praising the remarkable costume designs by Jacqueline West and the outstanding performances by Austin Butler and Christopher Walken.
The 2021 adaptation of Dune, directed by Villeneuve and based on the classic novel by Frank Herbert, garnered critical acclaim and received ten Academy Award nominations, winning six. It also achieved commercial success at the box office and made a significant impact on HBO Max.
Joining Ferguson, Butler, Walken, and Timothee Chalamet, the star-studded cast includes Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
Dune: Part Two is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 3, with a third film adapting “Messiah” expected to conclude the trilogy.
