Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were a couple for some time, and their last film together was Jab We Met. They parted ways in 2006. During their relationship, the couple made headlines when a private video of them kissing in a nightclub surfaced on social media. However, they never publicly addressed the incident until now. In 2023, Shahid finally broke his silence and expressed how he felt ‘destroyed’ after the incident.
In a recent interview, Shahid revealed that he was only 24 years old when the video was leaked, and it received widespread coverage in the media. He described feeling like a mess and violated, as his privacy was invaded with no means of protection. At that age, one is still figuring out their emotions and how to navigate relationships, making it even more challenging, he further explained.
Prior to this, during an interview with Rajiv Masand, Shahid talked about his breakup with Kareena Kapoor and the difficult decision he had to make between his personal life and his profession. He shared, “I had two options: either withdraw completely and avoid any media interaction, protecting myself from uncomfortable questions, or promote my film that was releasing in three weeks.”
While Shahid Kapoor got married to Mira Rajput in 2015, Kareena Kapoor tied the knot with Saif Ali Khan in 2012.
