No Future Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC Planned by Ubisoft for Now

Ubisoft Bordeaux currently does not have any plans for creating downloadable content (DLC) or post-launch updates for its highly anticipated project, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. However, this may change in the future.

During an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on the Assassin’s Creed subreddit, Stephane Boudon, the creative director for Mirage, responded to a question regarding the possibility of a post-launch update that would allow players to replay specific missions or quests in the game. Boudon stated, “For now, Mirage has no plan for DLC or extensive post-launch.”

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was officially announced last year at Ubisoft Forward. The game centers around Basim, a street thief who evolves into a skilled assassin in ninth-century Baghdad. Ubisoft has confirmed that Mirage will provide an opportunity for players to explore the rich history of Baghdad, although the game’s maps will be smaller in comparison to its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Notably, Ubisoft has also revealed a collaborative effort with OWO to develop a haptic feedback gaming suit that will allow players to physically experience Basim’s actions, such as punching and parkour movements, as they navigate through the streets of Baghdad.

While the availability of post-launch content for Mirage remains uncertain, fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise can look forward to several other exciting projects. Ubisoft has indicated its commitment to invest more resources into the franchise, including the development of multiple games set in the Assassin’s Creed universe. This encompasses a mobile game, which is currently undergoing closed beta testing and the first virtual reality game in the series, known as Nexus VR.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled to be released on October 12 for PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox.
