Shailesh Lodha, the talented TV actor who portrayed Taarak Mehta in the immensely popular comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma, has recently won a major legal case against producer Asit Modi. After a remarkable 14-year stint on the show, Lodha bid farewell.
Recent reports have revealed that Lodha filed a lawsuit against Modi for unpaid dues. Following his victory in the case, Modi will be required to pay Lodha a sum of Rs 1.05 crore via demand draft. Due to the failure of the show’s producers to clear Lodha’s dues, he took the matter to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
Asit Kumarr Modi has recently been in the news for the wrong reasons. In addition to Lodha’s accusation of unpaid dues, two other actors from the show, Jennifer Mistry and Monika Bhadoriya, have accused Modi of sexual harassment. Mistry took the step of filing a police complaint against Modi, Executive Producer Jatin Bajaj, and Project Head Sohail Ramani for alleged sexual misconduct in the workplace.
Mistry also took to Instagram to share a video condemning Asit Modi’s behavior. Alongside the video, she wrote, “The truth will be revealed… Justice will prevail.”

He embarked on his journey with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma in 2008, and after a remarkable 14-year run, he bid farewell to the show in April 2022. Lodha was succeeded by Sachin Shroff as Taarak Mehta.
