Destiny 2 The Witch Queen, Sea of Stars, and Lost Judgement lead PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe Games for August 2023

Introducing the highly-anticipated additions to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium catalogue for this month, with Destiny 2: The Witch Queen taking the lead. Starting on August 15, esteemed PS Plus members will have the opportunity to embark on a captivating journey into Savathûn’s Throne World, as they unravel the enigma of how she and her Lucent Hive managed to steal the Light. This thrilling adventure spans a variety of atmospheric landscapes, including gothic cathedrals, palaces, swamps, and a mysterious black pyramid situated on the icy moon of Europa. Regarded as one of the most impressive campaign packs in the world of Destiny 2, it will be accessible on both the PS4 and PS5 platforms. Another notable highlight for this month is Sea of Stars, an eye-catching indie RPG, where two Children of the Solstice embark on a heroic quest to protect their land from the monstrous creations of an evil alchemist. However, this particular title is scheduled for release a bit later on August 29.

Yakuza enthusiasts will be delighted with the arrival of Lost Judgement, a series spinoff that places players in the shoes of detective Takayuki Yagami. In this gripping tale, players must investigate the murder of a school teacher who drove their son to commit suicide, uncovering a web of bullying cases, lies, and a conspiracy involving multiple factions. Players must gather clues to solve the mystery or tap into their street-fighting prowess to wield street signs as weapons against incoming waves of enemies in intense free-flow combat. Lost Judgement will be available for both the PS4 and PS5. Moving Out 2 returns players to the fast-paced world of professional packers and movers, requiring teamwork to efficiently pack, load, and transport furniture and belongings between various locations. Players will need to navigate through tight spaces, evading dangerous obstacles in the process. This exciting title will also be available on both the PS4 and PS5 platforms.

Meanwhile, Crypto the alien invader makes a triumphant return in this groovy remake, unleashing a barrage of outlandish weapons, probes, and meteor showers on the human race in a quest for vengeance against the KGB, who destroyed his mothership. Players will pilot a trusty flying saucer, hovering above a city that captures the essence of the swinging 60s, as they abduct humans and transform them into DNA paste to enhance their own abilities. Destroy All Humans 2! – Reprobed will be available as a free-to-play game for PS Plus Extra and Premium members starting on August 15. Despite being revealed last month, Dreams has once again made its way onto the PlayStation Game Catalog list. Dreams serves as an ever-evolving digital canvas that allows players to unleash their creativity by crafting art, music, and games, which can then be shared with the community. The timing of its inclusion is somewhat peculiar, as developer Media Molecule prepares to shut down live support for the game in December.

Don’t let the charming aesthetics of Cursed to Golf deceive you, as the game thrusts players into a purgatory-like realm, where they must tackle challenging courses in a roguelike manner. This means that failure will result in being sent back to the starting line, forcing players to navigate through a myriad of treacherous hazards such as spikes, TNTs, teleporters, and powerful fans that obstruct achieving a hole-in-one. Another exciting addition to the lineup is Midnight Fight Express, where players assume the persona of BabyFace, a former member of the criminal underworld who is lured back into the life of crime to fight their way through the city’s gangsters before dawn to prevent a takeover. Engage in brutal combat, utilizing the environment to gain the upper hand and defeat both low-level thugs and powerful crime lords.

All of these remarkable titles and more were unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be exclusively available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members throughout the month of August (PS Plus Deluxe is referred to as PS Plus Premium in select markets). Notable inclusions from last month’s catalog were It Takes Two, Sniper Elite 5, and Undertale, among others.
