MSI launches its first gaming handheld and AI-powered laptops during CES 2024

Like every year, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is being held in Las Vegas and during the event, various companies are showcasing their gadgets. The event will go on till January 12 and AI seems to be taking the center stage.

Riding the AI wave, MSI has introduced its latest lineup of AI-powered laptops, powered by Intel’s 14th gen processors. The company has also showcased its first-ever gaming handheld, the Claw.

Eric Kuo, Executive Vice President and NB BU GM of MSI, expressed excitement about delving into AI and said, “MSI strives to stay ahead of the curve, and with our new AI-powered laptops, we are further establishing ourselves as a brand heeding our customers’ needs.”

Partnering with Intel, MSI’s Executive Vice President and GM, Client Computing Group, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, commented, “With the launch of these new processors, we are providing gamers, creators, and professionals the compute performance they need and expect from Intel and MSI.”

MSI unveils AI-powered laptops

MSI introduced its all-new 18-inch gaming laptop family, the Titan 18 HX, Raider 18 HX, and Stealth 18 AI Studio during the event. Along with Intel’s 14th gen Core i9 processors, the laptops also feature the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics, promising to provide an immersive gaming experience with a borderless 18-inch display.

The Intel Core Ultra processors powering these laptops are designed for sustained AI workloads and were launched recently. These processors boast a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), ensuring minimal power usage for routine tasks and enhancing battery life.

MSI also introduced the exclusive AI-driven software. The AI Engine optimizes laptop settings based on the application used, providing an immersive experience. The AI Artist offers offline text-to-image services, enhancing productivity for content creators, while the AI Noise Cancellation Pro delivers studio-quality voice for remote meetings or recording, even in noisy environments.

In addition to this, MSI also introduced full-power gaming laptops, mainstream gaming options, thin and powerful productivity laptops, and a refreshed content creation product line.

MSI’s first handheld gaming device

MSI also introduced its first handheld gaming device, Claw, featuring a 7-inch Full HD touchscreen display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The device uses Intel Core Ultra processors and promises optimal gaming performance even in the palm of your hand with Cooler Boost Hyperflow thermal technology. Its large 53Whr battery capacity promises a 2-hour battery life under full workload conditions.
