It seems that the OnePlus 12’s price for the Indian market was briefly disclosed on Amazon, creating a buzz ahead of its official debut on January 23. Although Amazon swiftly removed the pricing details, tipster Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) managed to capture a screenshot, showing a starting price of Rs 69,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
Previously, tipster Yogesh Brar claimed that the OnePlus 12 could cost between Rs 58,000 to Rs 60,000 for the base variant. If this turns out to be true, then it will likely undercut the competition and offer a great deal to consumers. To recall, the OnePlus 11 was launched in India earlier this year for Rs 56,999.
The OnePlus 12 initially made its debut in China last December with a base price of CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs 50,700) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The smartphone, which is available in Pale Green, Rock Black, and White color options in China, is now set to enter the Indian market with similar specifications.
In China, the OnePlus 12 is running on Android 14-based ColorOS 14. The device has a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Under the hood, the device packs the latest 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
For photography, there is a triple camera system. This includes a 50-megapixel LYT808 Sony sensor, a 64-megapixel OV64B sensor with 3x periscope telephoto camera. In addition to this, there is also a third camera – a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide camera. The camera setup is the same as the OnePlus Open smartphone.
It offers a bigger 5,400mAh battery and the company has added support for 100W SuperVOOC charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’ global launch event on January 23 will witness the official unveiling of the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R in India. While the pricing information is temporarily absent on Amazon, the leaked screenshot has created excitement among OnePlus fans.
