Asus has launched one of the first “Copilot Plus PCs for gaming” in the form of the new 2024 Zephyrus G16. The updated version, which is making its global debut at Computex 2024, comes rocking AMD’s freshly minted Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. Also fully announced at Computex, the Ryzen AI 300-series stands out in the market with the highest TOPS among NPU-configured chips at the time of writing.

Asus call it a “true AI PC” with artificial intelligence at its centre. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 combined with the dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 (capable of up to 321 TOPS) graphics card inside it, brings the total AI processing power to 402 TOPS, making it suitable for running AI-enabled applications, photo and video editing, and even coding. The laptop also features Asus ROG Intelligent Cooling to keep things from overheating.

The 2024 Zephyrus G16 has a 16-inch “ROG Nebula” OLED display with a 2.5K resolution, 0.2 ms response time, and support for Nvidia G-Sync. It is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with a 12-core/24-thread configuration, a maximum clock speed of 5.1GHz, 36MB cache, and Radeon 890M graphics. Asus pairs it with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, up to 32GB of LPDDR5X-7500 MHz RAM and up to 4TB of M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD.
For connectivity, the 2024 Zephyrus G16 has one USB4, one Type-C USB3.2 Gen 2, two Type A USB3.2 Gen 2, one HDMI2.1, SD card reader and audio jack in addition to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The laptop packs a 90Wh battery.
