Aanand L Rai has unveiled the title of his upcoming film with Dhanush, sharing the first teaser on Wednesday. The movie, titled “Tere Ishk Mein,” marks their reunion after the release of “Raanjhanaa” a decade ago.
In an Instagram post, the filmmaker wrote, “Kuch kahaniyan kisi purane dost jaisi mil jaati hain! Jo haath nahin milaati, seedhe aake gale lag jaati hain…10 saal pehle ek aisi hi kahani mili thi humein… Kundan ki kahani.”
He added, “Dost tha mera, par jee naa saka… uska mood nahi tha jeena ka! Ab 10 saal baad phir ek kissa aaya hai; Kundan aur ye ladka ek se hi hain, bus iska mood duniya phoonk dene ka hai! Sirf aapke liye…Tere Ishk Mein.”
The teaser showcases an intense Dhanush, holding a petrol bomb while smoking, rushing towards a wall as glass shatters in the darkness of the night. In the end, he exclaims, “Pichli baar toh Kundan tha, maan gaya. Par iss baar Shankar ko kaese rokoge.”
The teaser concludes with Dhanush throwing a petrol bomb at a wall, igniting a fire that engulfs a chariot before he walks away. The actor’s appearance includes a beard, long hair, a grey T-shirt, shirt, and denim. Meanwhile, an instrumental rendition of AR Rahman’s music from “Raanjhanaa” serves as the background score.
“Tere Ishk Mein” is directed by Aanand L Rai and features a story, dialogues, and screenplay by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. Himanshu has also produced the film, while AR Rahman has been roped in for the music and Irshad Kamil for the lyrics. The remaining cast of the film is yet to be announced.
