After Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, Kajol and Sara Tendulkar, B-town diva Alia Bhatt has become a victim of deepfake technology. The deepfake video has been doing rounds on social media.

In a now viral video, ‘Alia Bhatt’ can be seen donning a floral blue dress and making obscene gestures. However, with little attention, anyone can tell that the woman seen in the video is not Alia Bhatt. The actress’ face has been edited over someone else’s body.

This comes just a month after a deepfake video of actress Rashmika Mandanna surfaced online. The Pushpa actress had expressed her distress over the video, stating, “Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused,” before adding, “Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this.”

Alia Bhatt’s professional life

Following her Hollywood debut in Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan’s Heart of Stone, Alia Bhatt will be returning to the B-town big screen with Jigra, a thriller which she will also co-produce under Eternal Sunshine. While not much is known about the film as of yet, reports claim the movie will follow an attempt to break out of a prison. Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra will reportedly also star The Archies’ Vedang Raina and is set to release on September 27, 2024. Earlier today, Zoom had caught Alia Bhatt shooting for the film in Mumbai.
