A 25-year-old woman working at a homestay in Agra was allegedly gang-raped and assaulted, police said on Sunday. Five persons, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the case. The incident took place on Saturday night at the homestay where the woman worked.

The victim told police that she was being blackmailed over an obscene video of hers made earlier by the accused. She was also forced to drink alcohol and a glass bottle was broken on her head, police added. The woman was sent for medical examination.

Purported videos of the woman being dragged into a room by a man as she pleads for help have surfaced, with the claims that the woman was gang raped and attacked with beer bottles.
