Alia Bhatt is captivated by the first song from her upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The song, titled “Tum Kya Mile,” features the vocals of Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh, and has gained immense popularity due to Bhatt’s portrayal in a chiffon saree, romancing with Ranveer Singh in the classic Bollywood style of Yash Chopra. While the song received mixed reactions, Alia has now released another version of it in which she lip-syncs while enjoying a holiday at an undisclosed beach location.
On Thursday, Alia took to Instagram to share a dramatic reel of herself dancing and singing to the new song from her upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In the caption, she wrote, “Pehle pahado mein aur ab beach pe… hum toh gaate rahenge #TumKyaMile.”
The video begins with Alia touching the water with her hands, creating ripples. The scene then transitions to her face, where she lip-syncs to the lyrics sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Throughout the clip, Alia expresses various emotions, even while running on the beach.
Tum Kya Mile gives us a glimpse of the quintessential elements of Karan Johar’s films. The scene showcases Alia dressed in beautiful chiffon sarees singing to Ranveer amidst snow-covered mountains. This is the second time Alia and Ranveer have collaborated, the first being in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.
The movie also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, and is set to release in cinemas on July 28.
