This offer is valid for the 4K Blu-ray-equipped disc version of the console. Starting from Tuesday, July 25, the sale will be available at select online and offline retailers for a two-week period, concluding on August 7. During this time, the price of the PS5 will be reduced to Rs. 47,490, which is slightly lower than the original launch price in February 2021.
It’s important to note that this discount is not applicable to any game bundle variants of the PS5 console. Sony had previously increased the prices of its current-gen consoles by 10 percent for the disc version and 12.5 percent for the digital variant in November 2022. However, this limited-time promotion brings the price of the disc version back down for a brief period.
In a statement from Sony India, they expressed their delight with the success of the PS5 in 2023. The console has received numerous highly-anticipated game releases such as Hogwarts Legacy and Final Fantasy XVI. Sony has been delivering exceptional gaming experiences to their growing PS5 community, which includes access to PlayStation Plus, their game subscription service. PlayStation Plus offers benefits like a vast Game and Classics Catalog, featuring hundreds of games to choose from.
To take advantage of the PS5 promotion, customers can visit various online platforms such as Amazon India, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Shopatsc, Vijay Sales, and other select retailers. It’s worth mentioning that select retailers likely refers to brick-and-mortar stores.

During the recent Amazon Prime Day 2023 sale, the highest discount offered on the PS5 was a reduction of Rs. 2,000, bringing the price down to Rs. 52,990. The upcoming price tag of Rs. 47,490 is considerably lower. Keep in mind that sites like Flipkart and Reliance Digital have a history of canceling orders due to server load-related technical issues, so it may be wise to avoid them and explore alternative options.

However, he suggests it might not be called the ‘PS5 Slim’ but rather an ‘improved model’ rebranded as the PS5.
