ASA to Introduce Philippines’ Pioneering Gender Bonds on July 5

ASA Philippines Foundation will unveil the first-ever Gender Bond in the country on Wednesday, July 5. This initiative is part of ASA’s commitment to finding innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for its clients. ASA has partnered with BDO Capital and Landbank for the bond issuance.

ASA Philippines Foundation is a nonprofit and non-government organization that focuses on helping poor Filipino families escape poverty through microfinancing. Over the years, ASA has expanded its reach and now serves more than 2 million micro-entrepreneurs across the country.

ASA Philippines Foundation provides affordable credit access to underserved communities, offering initial loans ranging from P6,000 to P10,000. The foundation is dedicated to economic empowerment, particularly for women entrepreneurs, as 100% of its clients are women. By empowering women through income-generating activities, ASA Philippines Foundation aims to promote gender equality and foster inclusive development.
