Ather is all set to unveil the Rizta electric scooter on 6 April at the Ather Community Day in Bengaluru. Apart from that, the event will also hold a bunch of other announcements for the current Ather owners and prospective buyers.
Ather Energy CEO, Tarun Mehta has revealed that the 450 electric scooter is set to receive its most prominent OTA update. The package will include messaging on the dashboard, a new smartphone application and other features. Maybe, Ather could introduce proximity lock/unlock too.
Apart from that, the 450 Apex will also be displayed for the audience for trial purposes and more. The Ather Community Day will also hold competitions where participants could potentially win an Ather scooter as well.
As we mentioned earlier, the latest Ather scooter will make its debut on 6 April. From what we know so far, the Rizta has already been spotted testing multiple times. It will sport a brand-new design, which will be unlike the current 450 series. The overall bodywork will be much more family-friendly and the dimensions too appear larger. The Rizta was recently seen with two full-size adults on board and a tail bag as well.
We are expecting Ather to price the Rizta around Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will lock horns against TVS iQube S and the Ola S1 series in the EV segment.
