August 2023 PlayStation Plus Free Games: Get Ready for Exciting Titles like PGA Tour 2K23, Death’s Door, and More!

In August 2023, PlayStation Plus has announced its monthly free games. These games will be available to members of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium plans starting from August 1. The three titles are PGA Tour 2K23, Death’s Door, and Dreams. PGA Tour 2K23 allows players to compete in the FedExCup Championship against professional tour players. Death’s Door is a game where players must slay fantastical beasts and demigods. Dreams is an ever-changing universe filled with community-created games and tools for creative expression. These games can be added to your PS4 and PS5 library until September 4, but you will need to maintain your PS Plus subscription for continued access.

On August 29, Sea of Stars, a retro-styled turn-based RPG from Sabotage Studio, will be the first title to be released simultaneously on PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass. This indie game is presented in the style of acclaimed titles like Chrono Trigger and follows two children who combine the powers of the sun and moon to defend the lands against an evil alchemist. The game features a unique combat system that requires timing the action button with the animation for maximum damage. A free demo for Sea of Stars is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Next month, Sony confirmed the lineup of games for PS Plus on its PlayStation Blog. Members have until July 31 to add July’s free games to their library, which includes Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered, and Endling – Extinction is Forever.

PS Plus August 2023: Death’s Door

In Death’s Door, players take on the role of the Reaper Crow, collecting lost souls in the world of the living. When a soul gets stolen, you embark on a quest to recover it in a world filled with monstrous creatures. The game features a 3D isometric world and design inspired by Dark Souls and Zelda games. Progression relies on character customization, combat mastery, environmental puzzle-solving, and defeating colossal bosses.

Death’s Door is available to play on both PS4 and PS5.

PS Plus August 2023: Dreams

Dreams, an ever-expanding digital playground created by Media Molecule, is heading to PS Plus a month before live support ends. Players can still create their own art, music, and games to share with the online community. However, the game will no longer receive updates or host community-driven events. The PS Plus launch also includes a new game called Tren, where players can experience a remarkable toy train journey and learn about growing up.

Dreams is available to play on the PS4.

Earlier this month, PlayStation announced the games coming to its Game Catalog for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier subscribers. Some of the highlights include It Takes Two, Sniper Elite 5, and Undertale.

In India, PlayStation Plus subscriptions start at Rs. 499 per month for Essential, Rs. 749 per month for Extra, and Rs. 849 per month for Deluxe. The monthly free games are included with all three tiers.
