‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ roadmap includes a patch with over 1000 “fixes and tweaks”

Larian Studios has confirmed that they are working on more than 1,000 “fixes and tweaks” for Baldur’s Gate 3 before its release on the PlayStation 5.

The development team has been diligently addressing various technical bugs in the game through a series of hotfixes.

Players have played a crucial role in identifying and resolving issues in Baldur’s Gate 3, ranging from characters with weird eye movements reminiscent of the Exorcist to male gnome sorcerers missing their underwear.

Larian Studios CEO, Swen Vincke, has now outlined the developer’s three-pronged plan. The current focus is on Hotfix 4, although there is no specific timeframe for its release.

The first patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 will address over 1,000 areas for improvement. Therefore, requests from fans, such as a different ending for a particular character or the ability to rename bags and pouches, will not be top priorities.

Lastly, the second patch will be released and will already incorporate some of the community’s requested features. This may include the ability to change a character’s appearance on the go.

In NME’s five-star review of Baldur’s Gate 3, they praised the game’s wide range of reactions to player choices and the well-developed companions.

Andy Brown said, “It’s an exceptionally executed game because your enemies can use the same tactics as you, resulting in one of the most dynamic turn-based battle systems ever created.”

In other news, a player shared a unique strategy for defeating bosses in Baldur’s Gate 3 by dropping a giant Owlbear on them from a great height. You can check out the strategy here.
