Diya Kumari, Bharatiya Janata Party’s sitting MP and party’s candidate from Jaipur’s Vidyadhar Nagar seat, on being asked about her candidature for the Chief Minister post, on Sunday said that the party leadership will decide on the selection of the CM.
Speaking to IndiaToday.in she said, “It is not about accepting it or not, the party top leadership will decide that,” when asked about accepting the CM post.
“It is the love of the people who want to see me as CM of Rajasthan. Parliamentary board will take a call on who will be CM,” Diya Kumari said.
“BJP will do stupendously well in Lok Sabha polls,” she said.
“The BJP is winning in three states. We are extremely happy. The public has uprooted the corrupt Congress government and voted for the BJP for development,” Diya Kumari said amid victory chants by her supporters.
On being asked how she sees 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Diya Kumari said, “Very good and positive, BJP will win even more seats than earlier.”
Diya Kumari won Vidhyadhar Nagar seat against Congress’s Sitaram Agarwal by 71,368 votes and her party also crossed the halfway mark in the state.
Earlier today, she was spotted offering prayers at Govind Devji temple in Jaipur.
