The film stars the talented Xolo Maridueña and is set for an international release in August 2023, with North America’s premiere taking place on August 18, 2023.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents the highly anticipated feature film Blue Beetle, marking the iconic DC Super Hero’s first appearance on the big screen. Directed by the visionary Angel Manuel Soto, the film stars the talented Xolo Maridueña in the lead role as both Jaime Reyes and his alter ego, Blue Beetle. Jaime, a recent college graduate, returns home with big dreams for his future, only to discover that things have changed. As he embarks on a journey to find his purpose, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly becomes the chosen host for an ancient relic known as the Scarab. This transforms him into the extraordinary superhero Blue Beetle, granting him incredible powers and shaping his destiny forever.
Alongside Maridueña, the film features a stellar cast including Adriana Barraza, Damían Alcázar, Elpidia Carrillo, Bruna Marquezine, Raoul Max Trujillo, Susan Sarandon, George Lopez, Belissa Escobedo, and Harvey Guillén. Soto directs the screenplay written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, based on the beloved characters from DC. The film is produced by John Rickard and Zev Foreman, with Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman, and Garrett Grant as executive producers. A Warner Bros. Pictures Presentation, in association with Safran Company Production, Blue Beetle will captivate audiences internationally starting from August 2023, with the North American premiere on August 18, 2023.
