According to the latest Central and Eastern European Expert Consensus Statement, for women who are planning pregnancy, vitamin D supplementation should start or be maintained as recommended for healthy adults without other risk factors.

A 2010 study pointed out that increasing your vitamin D levels can boost the level of testosterone in men. According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, all adults should consume 800-1000 IU of Vitamin D3 per day. If you have deficient levels of vitamin D, you can take higher dosages of vitamin D3.
