Cartoon Network India Teases My Hero Academia with Silhouette of Iconic Character

There’s strong evidence that Cartoon Network India will be featuring the beloved hero from an anime series. Their Instagram page recently posted a picture of a character, asking fans to guess the name of this “HEROic personality.”

If it’s not already obvious, the channel is hinting at My Hero Academia. The silhouette is instantly recognizable as All Might, the show’s hero who is also known as the Symbol of Peace.

Following the success of airing the Dragon Ball series and films, Cartoon Network is now focusing on introducing more anime content in different regional languages. This deliberate effort aims to take advantage of the popularity of Japanese animated productions.

In an interview with IGN India, the head of the kids cluster in South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery revealed Cartoon Network’s ambition to become a premier destination for anime fans.

This strategic move seeks to bring the widely acclaimed shonen series to a wider audience in India. It draws parallels with Cartoon Network’s successful attempt to shine a spotlight on Naruto, the biggest shonen show of the previous generation, among young viewers.

Cartoon Network has not yet announced the release date of the show, nor the languages it will be available in.
