Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty) & Bento Box Entertainment’s highly anticipated animated series, Krapopolis, is finally scheduled to premiere on FOX this September.

Allow us to clarify: We’re not announcing a fourth season of Rick and Morty just yet. But we are excited to share that Dan Harmon, co-creator of Rick and Morty and the genius behind Community, has teamed up with Fox Entertainment-owned animation studio Bento Box Entertainment to bring you Krapopolis. We can assure you, renewing a series for a fourth season before it even airs its first episode would be absolute madness. However, a third season? That’s a different story. For now, mark your calendars for a two-episode premiere on Sunday, September 24th, following the NFL doubleheader. Then, starting October 1st, Krapopolis will become part of Sunday night’s Animation Domination block, airing at 8:30 p.m. right after The Simpsons and before Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy.

The star-studded voice cast of Krapopolis includes Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Richard Ayoade (The I.T. Crowd), Matt Berry (What We Do In The Shadows), Pam Murphy (Mapleworth Murders), and Duncan Trussell (The Midnight Gospel). Recurring cast members include Dove Cameron, Tara Strong, and Alanna Ubach, with guest appearances by Susan Sarandon, Will Forte, Michael Urie, Jane Lynch, Amber Stevens West, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Dave Franco.

Krapopolis takes viewers on an animated journey back to mythical ancient Greece, where humans, gods, and monsters coexist in one of the world’s first cities. Our protagonist, Tyrannis, voiced by Richard Ayoade, is the mortal son of a goddess and the benevolent King of Krapopolis. He faces the challenge of governing a city notorious for its chaos and mayhem. Matt Berry breathes life into the character of Shlub, Tyrannis’ father, a mantitaur with a unique blend of human, horse, lion, and scorpion features. Hannah Waddingham portrays Deliria, Tyrannis’ mother and the goddess of self-destruction. Within her dysfunctional Olympian family, she’s known as the rebellious one. Pam Murphy plays Stupendous, Tyrannis’ half-sister and a cyclops, while Duncan Trussell portrays Hippocampus, Tyrannis’ half-brother and an unhinged creature born from a union between Shlub and a mermaid. Created by Dan Harmon and produced by Fox’s Bento Box Entertainment, Krapopolis is spearheaded by showrunner and executive producer Jordan Young.
