Louis Puech Scigliuzzi introduces Laurent in the newest teaser for AMC & AMC+’s Norman Reedus-starring The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
With the highly anticipated spinoff series set to premiere on AMC & AMC+ screens next month, fans of The Walking Dead are being introduced to another character from Daryl Dixon’s new universe before The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon hits the airwaves on September 10th. Previously, viewers were introduced to Codron, played by Romain Levi, and Isabelle, played by Clémence Poésy. Now, the spotlight is on Laurent, played by Louis Puech Scigliuzzi. In the teaser clip, Scigliuzzi keeps the details of his character’s role and purpose vague, but we do get a glimpse of Daryl being referred to as “The Messenger” and delivering Laurent. The question remains: to whom and to where? Could this be evidence supporting the speculation that Laurent possesses immunity to the walker virus?

The teaser is notable for portraying a more settled Daryl, in contrast to his usual troubled state, and for showcasing the deteriorated state of the Eiffel Tower:
In a clip released over the previous weekend, things took a turn for the worse for Daryl during what seemed to be his extended “visit” to France. Starting with shots of castle ruins, the focus then shifted to Daryl being strapped to a bed, clearly under the influence of something. It’s safe to assume he was drugged, especially when a hot poker is brought into the picture and applied to Daryl’s skin. Was this for his own good, or was he being marked as part of a larger plan?
