Devolver Delayed reveals five titles delayed until 2024

As promised, the highly anticipated Devolver Delayed showcase was live-streamed by Devolver Digital today. In their signature style, the showcase lasted a brief three minutes but aimed to turn a negative situation into a positive one. The upbeat video served as a celebration of the games that are yet to be played.

The overall video had a unique Nintendo Direct feel with its red and white color scheme. Additionally, the narrators maintained an enthusiastic tone as they introduced each title one by one, staying true to Devolver Digital’s distinctive style.

Without further ado, here is the complete three-minute Devolver Delayed Showcase:

Five Exciting Devolver Digital Titles Delayed until 2024

In total, five eagerly anticipated games have been postponed to the following year. The most significant delay comes for the action-adventure title, The Plucky Squire. As humorously mentioned in the video, this 2D/3D adventure game seems to have forgotten about the fourth dimension: time.

Stick it to the Stickman, Anger Foot, Skate Story, and Pepper Grinder will also experience delays and are now scheduled for release in 2024.

Despite these delays, 2023 has already witnessed the launch of several noteworthy titles, with more planned for the final months of the year. Considering the crowded release schedule for the remainder of the year, one might even argue that a slight delay is beneficial. Devolver Digital, however, emphasized that these titles simply require a little extra time to meet their standards.

Furthermore, even though these five games are delayed, it’s worth noting that the showcase ended on a positive note with Devolver highlighting the games that are still set to launch this year. Fans can anticipate the release of Gunbrella, Wizard with a Gun, The Talos Principle 2, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, and Karmazoo in 2023. Additionally, the DLC for Broforce Forever and McPixel 3 will also be released this year.

Delays are never ideal, but Devolver Digital managed to address them in an entertaining manner. Nevertheless, if you’re a Devolver fan, there is plenty to look forward to in the coming years, with exciting releases planned for both 2023 and 2024!
