Dice Media Releases Trailer for ‘Clutch’ – A Webseries Focused on Esports in India

Dice Media, known for its work on series like Little Things, Operation MBBS, What The Folks, and Adulting, has released the trailer for its upcoming show Clutched, which focuses on esports in India.

Dice released the following synopsis for the show:

Clutch is an Esports drama that follows the lives of Arun, Adil, Prachi, Raunak and Jeetu as they navigate the world of gaming in India. Will this squad of misfits succumb to the pressures gamers face or will they rise above all odds?

While the series is being marketed as “India’s first Esports web series”, a quick check on on YouTube during PUBG’s prime reveals that’s not the case. Previously, Tencent released its own production called Dosti Ka Naya Maidan, which was a fictional webseries depicting a group of teens and their ways of tackling problems dedicated to PUBG Mobile. Of course, most of the episodes of that show have been deleted since PUBG’s ban in India, prompting others to fill the void.

Clutch, on the other hand, chooses to put the focus on the growing esports scene in India, with the series focusing on a team as it grows through the ranks of an esports tournament.

Clutch stars Vishal Vashishtha, Ahsaas Channa, Saurabh Ghadge, Pratiek Pachauri and Tirth Joshier. The first episode of Clutch will premier on October 1, 2021 on Dice’s YouTube channel.
