Shortly after Elon Musk unveiled the new look of Twitter (X), Jon Cryer noticed some striking similarities between the design and Lex Luthor’s LexCorp.
Before actor/director Michael Cudlitz (The Walking Dead, Clarice) joined The CW’s Tyler Hoechlin & Elizabeth Tulloch in the third season of Superman & Lois as the main antagonist, it was Jon Cryer who portrayed Lex Luthor, bringing terror to the “Arrowverse” on The CW screens. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Cryer noticed the resemblance between the newly renamed Twitter (now X Corp.) logo unveiled by Elon Musk and “LexCorp.” Cryer expressed his observation on “Twitter X” through visual references.
Here is Cryer’s tweet cautioning Musk about using Lex’s trademarks and copyrights without permission. Lex Luthor isn’t one to rely on legal action alone to resolve such matters; he tends to handle them personally.
The five-part crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” spanning Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, took place between December 2019 and January 2020. The crossover concluded with Barry Allen/The Flash and other heroes, including the Arrowverse adaptation of Superman played by Hoechlin, gathering at the renovated old S.T.A.R. Labs hangar, now serving as a meeting place for the heroes, akin to a “Hall of Justice.” Although a “Justice League” of the Arrowverse’s “Super Friends” would have been cool, Cryer felt that the heroes needed a counteractive force. In January of the current year, the actor took to Twitter to share his idea for a series focusing on the Legion of Doom, which he pitched to WBTV. Cryer envisioned his Luthor leading this group of supervillains, potentially including established and new adversaries. We personally think Tom Cavanagh’s Eobard Thawne, also known as Reverse-Flash, would be an excellent choice.
